Reparative Roots is a dedicated space for adults and teens who identify as Black, Indigenous, and People of Color to reconnect with land-based ancestral skills in a welcoming and affirming community.
At The Rewilding School, we honor the roots of practices such as foraging, fire making, shelter building, fishing, tracking, crafting, spoon carving, survival skills, archery, and more. These traditions have long been stewarded by marginalized communities, yet access to land and outdoor spaces has not always felt safe or inclusive. Reparative Roots is our commitment to creating space for reconnection, healing, and empowerment through nature.
This program is intentionally reserved for individuals who identify as members of BIPOC communities.
Families are welcome; each participant must register. Children under 5 remain with their adult, and children 5+ will have a separate age-appropriate activity.
We look forward to gathering in community and returning to the roots that sustain us.
The program fee is refundable upon participation. If you’re unable to attend, your contribution will be donated to the Lenape Center in support of their work. We’re committed to making this program accessible. If cost is a concern, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at [email protected].
