Groups
Wild Summer students are grouped by the grade your child will enter in Fall 2026:
- Wanderers: Grades 1–2
- Adventurers: Grades 3–6
Groups are separate 90% of the time during programming.
If your child would like to be with a friend who falls close between two grades, please coordinate with that family in advance and ensure you register for the same group. We cannot guarantee placements if families register for different groups.
If your child requires additional support, please contact us ahead of time so we can ensure the best possible experience.
Registration Notes
- All registrations are completed online.
- We’re unable to manually register participants, as waivers and required personal information must be completed by a parent or guardian.
Missed Days & Weather
- We are unable to offer make-up days for personal absences.
- Program tuition includes one weather-related cancellation.
- For additional weather cancellations beyond the first, a 50% credit will be issued for each affected day.
Refund & Cancellation Policy
- All registrations are non-refundable.
- Cancellations made more than two weeks before the program start date are eligible for a family credit.
- Family credits do not expire and may be used toward any future Rewilding School program.
- Cancellations made within two weeks of the program start date are not eligible for refunds or credits.

Wild Summer at Marsh Sanctuary
Full Program Schedule for Wanderers & Adventurers
Week 1: Monday, June 29 – Friday, July 3
Tales of the Wild | Cost: $560
Every forest holds a story, and every child becomes a storyteller. Tales of the Wild blends nature exploration with imaginative play, inviting kids to step into amazing tales inspired by the woods around them. Through inquiry-based learning and open-ended activities, children discover mythical creatures and natural mysteries to bring them to life through movement, storytelling, and collaborative play. Each day is a new chapter written by the group, guided by curiosity and creativity.
Week 2: Monday, July 6 – Friday, July 10
Enchanted Forest (Wanderers) | Cost: $560
Step into a world of magic and mysticism! Our Enchanted Forest is filled with fantastic beasts, potions galore, and epic quests that are sure to excite your young adventurer. Expect to learn about local plants and animals while honing your magical abilities and curiosity.
Forest Alchemy (Adventurers) | Cost: $560
Dive deep into the power of plants. Use campfires to craft healing salves, teas, bug repellants, and tinctures from plants you forage. Craft baskets, bags, and clay pots to create your own mobile apothecary. Perfect for kids who have advanced beyond mud pies and fairy houses and are looking to connect deeper with the secrets of the natural world.
Week 3: Monday, July 13 – Friday, July 17
Stone Age Tinkerer | Cost: $560
Become a stone-age engineer! Our ancestors built everything they needed from what they found around them. In this program, you will use unique materials found in nature to build shelters, stone tools, baskets, and, of course, campfires.
Week 4: Monday, July 20 – Friday, July 24
Forest Craft | Cost: $640
A popular video game pops out of screen and comes alive for a week in the woods. Build buildings and forts, craft tools and armors, and survive the elements and the horde!
Week 5: Monday, July 27 – Friday, July 31
Woodland Warriors (Wanderers) | Cost: $560
The forest needs defenders! In the brand-new session, participants become a woodland warrior. Learn the art of camouflage, study the mysteries of the forest and conduct secret missions to protect the forest and its residents from the evil that lies in the shadows. Perfect for young adventurers and those with a warrior’s soul at heart.
Way of the Blade (Adventurers) | Cost: $560
Whether that tool is a knife, saw, rasp or even a sword, its user must be able to focus on the task at hand. They must learn to be safe with the tool, care for it, and respect it. In this cutting edge new program, participants will blend the instruction of hand-held woodworking tools with the discipline of using a sword (foam only). As their skills grow, so do their challenges.
Week 6: Monday, August 3 – Friday, August 7

Whether you're sending your young swashbuckler or resilient survivor of a ship wreck, they will have a blast exploring and creating with us. Join us as we explore what the Hudson River holds by fishing, crabbing, and surviving.
Week 5: Monday, July 27 – Friday, July 31
River Explorers | Cost: $560
Come explore the Hudson River! Based on top of a 7,000 year old archaeological site, kids will get a chance to catch fish, eels, and crabs, explore the thousands of years of history, and craft awesome pots, tools, and decorations using shells and clay right from the river.
